Biography, business interests…
eljko is in professional journalism since June 1991. Regarding the time he started to work in “Vjesnik”, it is not wonder that only after two months of work in city column, he was sent on his first early reporting tasks by the end of August 1991. in Vukovar and Gospic. Powerful impressions from the war and testimonies by fragments of stories, behind which were backstage political games, essentially influenced on his decision to take up research journalism. Today his research interest is directed on lots of activities, which are secret and out of law: trade of weapons, drugs, stolen cars; prostitution; war crimes; political murders, abuse of secret services…

Kad aktualni ili bivi obavjetajac novinaru ponudi suradnju, to znači da se informacije ne dobijaju besplatno. Jer, obavjetajac cijeli ivot ostaje obavjetajac i njemu u prvom redu također treba informacija. Surađujući s obavjetajcem novinar se moe dovesti u situaciju da svjesno ili nesvjesno “cinka” svoje kolege, neke svoje informatore ili informatore svojih kolega. “Globus” objavljuje nove dijelove do ovih dana nepoznate kompromitantne dokumentacije o tekom kriminalu nekih vojnih i obavjetajnih struktura na području ibenika za vrijeme rata 1993. to je izazvalo veliku uzbunu u zemlji u kojima se skriva i ovo skandalozno otkirće:
Josip Perković u Upravi SIS-a prijetio je 1993. poručnicima Joku Goviću i Tomislavu Matiću jer su predsjedniku Tuđmanu pisali o kriminalu u ibeniku!

INVESTIGATION ABOUT THE WAR CRIMES COMMITTED IN THE SPLIT MILITARY PORT LORA STARTED
The witnesses mentioned 14 and 15 April when the IRC representatives visited Lora asking for the permission to enter the military prison because they found out about the unregistered prisoners captured there. This caused panic so before the IRC representatives entered Lora, Josip Perkovic, Assistant Minister of Defense in charge of SlS (Secret Intelligence Service) had ordered the transfer of the prisoners.
Has Mario Barisic gave testimony uselessly?
After he gave testimony in Tudjman’s office, a meeting of highest people in Governmment was held, on which, the late Minister of defence, Gojko Susak, said : “That Barisic should be eliminated”. When one part of stenogram of that meeting appeared in public, one of the members of the meeting, Ivan Jarnjak, in 1993. the Minister of police, said that Susak didn’ t mean kill, when he said “to eliminate”.

Kada se dio stenograma te sjednice pojavio u javnosti, jedan od sudionika sastanka Ivan Jarnjak , 1993. ministar policije, kazao je da uak pod eliminirati nije mislio i “ubiti”.

A Croat’s Killing Prods Action on War Atrocities
GOSPIC, Croatia, Sept. – Milan Levar always knew he might be killed and gave a trusted friend a letter naming the 4 men he thought were most likely to order his assassination and 10 more who would carry it out.
Mr. Levar, Croatia’s most outspoken critic of crimes committed by Croats in Croatia against minority Serbs, was killed by a bomb in his backyard in Gospic on Aug. 28. His five-page handwritten letter makes sad, and damning, reading.
The four men Mr. Levar suspected of plotting to kill him were men he had been accusing since 1997 of committing war crimes against the Serbs of Gospic, a hardscrabble town of 5,000 set in the thick forests and craggy white mountains of a region that was notorious even in World War II for being the home of hard-line Croat nationalism.

How we were killing Milan Levar
By the end of 2005., eljko suppose to finish a book under upper title. Imagined as an research project which should explain some of so far public unknown places in Levar’s fight for the truth about war in Gospic in 1991., the book has been written for more than four years.
